关于荔枝王 - King Ly Chee 香港HARDCORE

荔枝王被硬心音樂的熱誠感染底下成立於一九九九年五月。當時香港的地下音樂充斥著非原創--並把”硬心”和”nu-金屬”Limp Bizkit形式的音樂。於是--荔枝王的創立人RIZ決定把硬心的真正意思宣揚開去。首先他創辦一本雙語免費地下雜誌「由零開始----內容包括論文、世界各地的朋克、金屬及硬心樂隊訪問和唱片評論等。為了增強硬心文化的渲染力。Riz深明單靠文字是不足夠的--香港的觀眾需要聽見看見才可真正的感受到這種文化--結果荔枝王正式誕生。

憑著一顆對硬心鍥而不捨的決心--這成立了七年多的樂隊孜孜不倦地發揚這個文化。期間--荔枝王把他們的聲音、力量及坦誠的心帶到亞洲及歐洲多個國家去--建立了荔枝王作為一隊香港樂隊、亞洲樂隊的名字。

二００六年八月--荔枝王成立了由「零開始唱片----一個發掘香港土生土長聲音的獨立唱片公司--現在合共簽了五隊本地樂隊--包括荔枝王--。更多資料可到--www.startfromscratchrecords.com

發行

２０００年１０月首張唱片”We Are Who We Are”以DIY朋克--硬心的形式推出

２００２年８月著名香港音樂人黃貫中--前Beyond吉他手--主音首次接觸荔枝王並邀請他們成為他新成立的獨立唱片公司Polar Bear旗下的樂隊

２００３年第二張唱片“企硬”推出--登上HMV暢銷排行鎊的第十一位

“Stand Strong Live DVD”推出--攝錄了企硬發行後的現場表演。捕捉了觀眾對這隊樂隊的充滿力量的熱情。

２００６年荔枝王與一隊東歐朋克樂隊Good Reason合輯發行”Under One Flag”。這張獨立發行唱片嘗試打破地區界限--把兩地的圈子團結起來。發行後荔枝王與Good Reason進行了一個十天的巡迴演出--把亞洲的聲音帶到斯洛伐克、捷克共和國、奧地利及德國去。Shnarler Records為這張唱片現於在美國發行。

除此之外--荔枝王不斷為各國的樂隊在本地籌辦演出--包括Himsa, Rambo, 100 Demons, Envy, Naiad, Reflector, NOFX, The Bouncing Souls, Die Young TX。亦為Korn的香港演出擔任開場樂隊--荔枝王經過幾個禮拜的深思熟慮才決定透過這個方式去代表香港--。

BREAKING NEWS:
由四月十三日至四月二十四日--荔枝王將會與美國著名朋克樂團NOFX在亞洲巡迴演出！這次荔枝王會以開場亞洲樂隊的名義去與他們演出。演出日期為--

荔枝王對音樂認真努力的態度抓住了國際及本地傳媒的注意力。他們曾經受訪無數次--包括亞洲的Painkiller, Asiaweek至Dazed--美國的While You Were Sleeping, Evil Monito, Maximum Rock N’ Roll--歐洲的Fracture以及世界各地的網站、報章、書籍及電台。

將來

荔枝王維持到今天--全憑他們要對世界宣揚他們的音樂及信息的一股堅持。在這個地下音樂的世界裡--雖然西方國家一直支配著整個市場--可是他們相信任何一隊來自亞洲的樂隊也可以透過地下音樂去表達自己面對著的掙扎並且宣揚開去。荔枝王正在尋覓一些相信他們的人--能驅使他們能夠更上一層樓。
