Sound engineer and DJ. Although mainly influenced by Detroit techno, Erwan created his own style from harder noisy techno to deep minimal abstract acid and he is probably the most complete DJ you will ever see behind the decks, both his technic and dexterity bring electronic music to another level.
Erwan was born in 1978 in France. In the beginning of the 90's the first techno releases from Detroit came to France, and Erwan was a big fan of those. Later on, he started spinning music on his technics MKII decks and in 1997 began serious free parties all over the french west coast.
Erwan affects particularly sophisticated bass lines, flying beats and singular arrangements to give new life into his sets. He also knows perfectly how to pitch’n program his tracks to give fully powered straight mixes, either for deep, minimal or progressive house but also for funky and dubby techno. Both clubbers and techno nerds appreciate him and his reputation is not to be made.
After playing in France for 4 years, Erwan moved to Shenzhen in 1999 and got known with his 2 radio shows on Radio Guangzhou exploring the world of electronic music. Meanwhile he was resident DJ for 3 years at the well known Windflower Club, played all over south China and Hong-Kong, including Face Cafe, Queen’s and Phi-B. In 2002 he made his breakthrough in Shanghai working for DMC and Ortofon China being the manager of both companies. He organized the DMC China Finals for 2 years consecutively and went to London to be the judge for the DMC World Eliminations. During that period of time Erwan played in Bangkok (Q Bar), Hoh Chi Minh (Speed), Dubai (Doom), Koh Samui (Full Moon Festival), Paris (Pulp, Fabrique), London (Home), Taipei, and in all major cities in China including Club Vogue and Banana in Beijing, Park 97 and Dragon in Shanghai, Voltage and Face Club in Guangzhou, True Color Clubs in Shenzhen making him one of the busiest DJ in Asia.
In 2005 Erwan decided to go back to Europe where he spent 6 months in Barcelona working on his own tracks and playing in different clubs in the like of La Kasbah. Later on he started a school of audio engineering in Geneva and graduated in 2006 as a sound engineer.
As for now Erwan is working on several recordings, rock, hip-hop and jazz, and different personal tracks but his new project is to open a recording studio and an audio facility in Shanghai. He's playing all over China, including The Modern Sky Festival in Beijing, Wakaka Festival in Chengdu along side The Mix Club Team...
